Graduation of 100 Afghan Women from Vocational Training Center of OPAWC |
On 27th January 2011, OPAWC held a function for giving graduation certificates to 100 Afghan women, mostly widows, from our Vocational Training Center (VTC). These women were educated in this center so now they can use their skills to earn money for solving their financial problems in family. In this function some officials from Literacy section of the Ministry of Education and a large number of students along with their families participated.
The function was organized and arranged by the students themselves showing their progress and capacity. They presented a marvelous drama which was portraying the realities of life in a common Afghan family. The male bread-winner of the family was addicted and the mother with two children was left with many problems to make a living. After struggling and passing difficult times, she becomes a good tailor and then she runs her family without being dependent to male member, at the end the male member regrets and promises his wife to overcome addiction and work with her, after while they start a happy family life.
The function was ended by distribution of Merit Certificates to 100 women.
